Sacristans are responsible for preparing the church for Mass and special liturgies. They ensure that all the necessary items are available and in their proper place before and after each Mass.
Summary of Responsibilities:- Prepares the Worship Center for the upcoming Mass
- Prepares the Altar and the gifts of bread and wine before Mass
- Is present during Mass to assist the gift bearers.
- After Mass, help reset the area for the next Mass or return all items to their proper places after the last Mass.
Qualifications:- Ability and willingness to serve
- Attend training (once, in the beginning, then only as needed)
- Available to serve once every 4-5 weeks
