Each year during the holiday season, when we especially miss our deceased loved ones, Faith and Grief: A Ministry of Compassion and Connection provides an annual memorial opportunity, the Memorial Arch for our greater community in the metroplex. This year the Memorial Arch is to be displayed at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas from Nov. 28 through Dec. 18, with opening ceremony on Nov. 28 at 2:00 pm. OLA parishioners are invited to participate by obtaining a ribbon and writing the name of your deceased loved one on the ribbon and then turn in the ribbon to OLA. You can pick up a ribbon after the 8:30 am Mass on Nov. 1 & 2, or at the parish office on Tuesdays, Nov. 2 & 9 or Wednesdays, Nov. 3 & 10. Your ribbons will be included in the Memorial Arch. Our Lady of Angels works in partnership with Faith and Grief Ministry to provide grief support and resources to those who are grieving the death of a loved one. Faith and Grief offers monthly grief support gatherings, an 8-week grief workshop, grief retreats, and many more resources available on their website. Visit www.faithandgrief.org for more info.
