On Good Friday, we recall the passion and crucifixion of Jesus. A silent procession of the priest and deacons mark the continuation into the second day of the Triduum. A cross is ceremonially unveiled. Mass is not celebrated on Good Friday and the communion distributed at the Celebration of the Lord's Passion is consecrated the evening before. Catholic faithful typically venerate the crucifix by kissing the feet of the corpus or the cross. Due to the pandemic this year, Msgr. Bell will parade the Cross through-out the Church for a visual veneration. We pray for the salvation of the world with sung intercessions and again, we leave in silence. This service will be live-streamed.
