"Esto Dignus" Be Worthy
The Squires emblem symbolizes the ideals which identify a squire. Centered in a circle on a Maltese Cross, are the letters "P", "I", "S" and "C" symbolizing the unity of Physical, Intellectual, Spiritual, and Civic life in a squire. Centered on top of the cross are the large letters "C" representing Christ, "S", the Squires, and "K", the Knights whom sponsor the Columbian Squires program.
The Columbian Squires program was begun in 1925, under the oversight of the Knights of Columbus, in order to give young men a better opportunity in life - a chance to receive the leadership training and the spiritual and moral guidance they will need in order to succeed.
Squires activities are many, varying from spiritual to active service for the Church and community. Each circle elects officer members from their own rank, teaching skills of leadership and responsibility.
Many different types of organizations for young men exist in today's world; what makes the Squires different?
The above three points make the Columbian Squires different from most other youth organizations in the world today. Finally, the uniqueness of the Columbian Squires is enhanced even more by its association with the Knights of Columbus.

Our Columbian Squires Circle is the recipient of two (2) awards for 2016, the Corps d’Elite Award and the Brother Barnabus Award.
Corps d'Elite Award is the highest award a Squires Circle can receive from the Supreme Council. To be eligible, a Circle must meet their membership goal, file all reports and paperwork on time and conduct at least four activities in each of the areas - Membership, Circle, Spiritual and Service.
Brother Barnabus Award is presented annually by the Supreme Council and given in recognition of the Top 25 best activities in the WORLD conducted by a circle during the fraternal year. Only 25 Circles world-wide receive this award. Our Circle was awarded the Brother Barnabus award for our Pro-Life efforts last year; designing and selling parish t-shirts and donating the proceeds which saved the lives of two (2) babies.
